ACHI Committees

Laboratory Director Examination (LDE) Committee
Responsible for creating and scoring laboratory director exams, this committee ensures the integrity of the examination process. Members must be ACHI Fellows with doctoral degrees.

CHA/CHT/CHS Examinations Committee
Oversees the content, scoring, and administration of the CHA, CHT, and CHS examinations, in collaboration with the exam company. Members must have CHS-level certification.

CHA/CHT/CHS Exam Application Review Subcommittee
Reviews all exam applications for eligibility, approves complex cases, and recommends improvements to the application process. Members must have CHS-level certification.

Director Training, Review and Credentialing (DTRC) Committee
Approves candidates to direct ASHI-accredited laboratories, reviews training plans, progress reports, and ensures directors meet ASHI standards. Members must hold doctoral degrees and serve as laboratory directors.

LDE Exam Application Review Subcommittee
Works with the DTRC to review credentials of director and technical supervisor candidates, both in the US and internationally. Members must hold doctoral degrees and serve as laboratory directors.

Bylaws Committee
Maintains ACHI’s bylaws and operations manual, ensuring alignment with ACHI’s mission and best practices for credentialing organizations.

Continuing Education Committee
Reviews and approves continuing education programs, maintains course catalog standards, and ensures certification maintenance processes remain current and fair.
